Analysis

Services in This Field

We primarily conduct analyses in the field of environmental measurement certification and operate laboratories in Hachioji (Tokyo), Chiba, and Saitama. To meet a broader range of environmental analysis needs, we also operate the Odor & Fragrance Laboratory in Hino, Tokyo, specializing in odor analysis. In 2018, we established our subsidiary, Soil Environment Researchers Co., Ltd., dedicated to soil analysis, enabling us to provide faster turnaround times for analytical services.

Outgassing Measurement of Products and Components Using a Micro Chamber

A micro chamber is a pretreatment device used for outgassing emission tests of products and components. It enables evaluation of volatile organic compounds and other substances released when samples are heated at a specified temperature.

Radioactivity and Radiation Dose Surveys and Measurements

We provide a wide range of services, including radionuclide activity measurements, on-site sampling, ambient radiation dose rate measurements, and surface radiation dose rate measurements of target materials. Please feel free to contact us for consultation.

Pesticide Analysis in Water Samples

We conduct analyses in accordance with the following methods and guidelines:
● Guidelines for preventing water pollution and damage to aquatic living organisms caused by pesticides used at golf courses
● Environmental Residue Survey and Analytical Methods for Pesticides, etc. (January 2000), published by the Water Quality Conservation Bureau, Environment Agency
● Appendix 5-1 of Notification No. 59 issued by the Environment Agency in 1971
● Appendix 4 of Notification No. 59 issued by the Environment Agency in 1971
● Appendix 1 of Notification No. 64 issued by the Environment Agency in 1974
We participate in the Ministry of the Environment's Environmental Measurement and Analysis Quality Control Survey every year and have consistently achieved excellent results.

PM2.5 Surveys

We own our own survey and analytical equipment, enabling us to provide comprehensive services in-house, from planning through reporting. We also conduct research on PM2.5 and smaller nanoparticles, maintaining advanced technical expertise in this field.

Asbestos Survey and Analysis in Building Materials

Due to their excellent and diverse properties, asbestos has been widely used in various applications, including construction materials and electrical products. In particular, more than 90% of asbestos usage has been in building materials.
Our experienced and qualified professionals (including certified building asbestos surveyors and personnel certified under the Asbestos Analysis Technology Evaluation Program with A/B rankings) conduct preliminary surveys required for demolition and renovation of buildings containing asbestos-containing materials, including document reviews, visual inspections, sampling, and analysis.

Asbestos Survey and Analysis in Ambient Air

During demolition and renovation of buildings containing asbestos materials, monitoring for asbestos dispersion and leakage is required. In addition, when asbestos-containing materials are present in existing buildings, regular surveys and monitoring of airborne asbestos dust are necessary.
Our experienced staff provide prompt measurement and analysis services based on applicable laws and regulations for each individual project. We also provide surveys and analysis based on the Asbestos Monitoring Manual (Ministry of the Environment) and working environment measurement standards.

Waste Composition and Waste Analysis

We provide fundamental data for future waste management through continuous surveys of waste composition and actual conditions, as well as measurement data to support waste reduction initiatives.

Environmental Hormone Analysis

We established a specialized laboratory when environmental hormone substances first attracted attention and have accumulated more than 20 years of experience in this field. We handle a wide variety of compounds, including environmental hormones, and various sample types such as water, sediment, and biological samples. We thoroughly manage contamination control to maintain high-quality analytical results for environmental hormone substance analysis. Please feel free to contact us for consultation.

Analysis of Inorganic Gases and Lower Hydrocarbons

Analysis of inorganic gases and lower hydrocarbons is performed using multiple gas chromatographs (GCs) equipped with detectors having different characteristics. Each detector, including BID (Barrier Ionization Discharge Detector), TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector), FID (Flame Ionization Detector), and FPD (Flame Photometric Detector), has unique characteristics, and we select the appropriate detector according to the purpose of the analysis.

Qualitative Analysis of Organic Compounds

Utilizing our extensive experience in organic analysis, we respond to various needs, including component analysis of unknown samples.
We develop an appropriate plan and propose the optimal approach according to each customer's objectives and challenges.

Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Inorganic Substances

We conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of inorganic substances, focusing on metals and environmental standard parameters.
For solid samples, we have particular expertise in component analysis through wet digestion methods and can perform elemental analysis according to specific requirements.

Foreign Material Analysis and Contract Testing

In addition to foreign material analysis using various types of equipment, we propose testing and analysis methods that contribute to identifying and reducing sources of contamination according to customer requirements.
We have extensive experience in investigating and analyzing various environmental issues and provide solutions utilizing our accumulated knowledge and expertise.

Dioxin Survey and Analysis

We provide dioxin measurement services not only for general environmental media such as air, water quality, and soil, as well as emissions from exhaust gas, wastewater, and incineration ash, but also for biological samples and food products that require highly accurate analytical data and evaluation.

Sick House / Sick School Measurement

During various construction projects, including new construction and renovations, implementation of sick house measurements (indoor chemical substance concentration measurements) may be required as part of specifications or handover conditions. We can measure all substances for which indoor concentration guideline values have been established. We also provide support for reviewing specifications and proposing measurement plans when necessary. Please feel free to contact us for consultation.

Analysis of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

We have extensive experience in analyzing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including being commissioned by the Ministry of the Environment to conduct nationwide surveys of PFOS and PFOA. We have long provided analysis services for various samples such as environmental water and wastewater, with strict management of equipment and analytical processes to ensure appropriate quality control.

Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) Analysis

We conduct LAS analysis in accordance with the Environmental Quality Standards for Water Pollution (Notification No. 59 of the Environment Agency, 1971, Appendix 12). We have extensive experience analyzing LAS in various water samples, including environmental water and wastewater, and maintain strict control of equipment and analytical processes to ensure reliable quality management.
